S CLUB 8

THE STORY

S Club 7 held auditions to form S Club Juniors, to perform at Wembley with S Club 7. Over 10,000 children showed up at several locations to audition. Only 40 children made it to the final audition in London. At this final audition S Club 7 were there to choose who they wanted. At first S Club 7 choose 7 kids: Calvin, Daisy, Frankie, Jay, Rochelle, Stacey, and Connor. However, Aaron and Hannah were later called to ask if they still wanted to be in the group.

On November 16 the S Club Juniors had their first televistion apperance. They did an interview and sang 'Have you Ever' with S Club 7. Due to their success, the Juniors were asked to go on tour with S Club 7. This is when Connor decided to leave the group. This left the Juniors with 8 members and began to rehearse for their upcoming tour. Their first live performance was in front of 15,000 people.

Once the tour was finished, the Juniors began to promote their first single, "One Step Closer". Their first single went straght to #2. Their second single, "Automatic High" also went straight to #2. "New Direction" their third single did the same. In December, the 4th single "Puppy Love" was released and the Juniors began to rehearse for their second tour with S Club 7. At the end of the tour S Club 7 announced that they would split up and S Club Juniors would become S Club 8.

Their first single released as S Club 8 was "Fool No More". This song was realease on June 30, 2003 and it went straight to #4. "Sundown" the second single was released at the end of September and it too went to #4. The album "Sundown" was released on Octover 13, 2003 and it entered the charts at #13. On December 29th, "Don't Tell me Your Sorry" was released.
